Should You Rinse Fish Before Cooking

Should I rinse off marinade before cooking?

I bought some carne picada for quesadillas and decided to marinate it in lime juice, chipotle peppers, adobo, onion and garlic powder, cumin, oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. I diluted it with water but it's still a fairly thick marinade. I was wondering if i should rinse the marinade off before i cook it on my skillet so it doesn't burn onto it and make cleaning a hassle.

No, it'll be fine. If you're worried put some oil down when you cook

I just worry because there's a lot of it, i suppose I could drain the excess.

It's probably too late but to avoid things sticking to the pan I was taught to first gently heat the pan, then add the oil and gently heat that. Then add what you are cooking.

You have to get the hang of getting the pan and the oil to the right temperature so that it doesn't get too hot - the oil heats faster with nothing in it. If it's too hot it splatters and burns. But once you've done it a million times you'll just know how to do it.

It didn't stick, there was so much of it even draining as much as I could that it more boiled than anything, so I didn't have to worry about it. It came out super tasty!

I haven't made it yet because I thought I was leaving this weekend and stuck it in the freezer, so it's not too late lol
